These are some of the questions we receive on a day-to-day basis.  This page is designed to help you; however, please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions that are not answered on this page.

Q:      What types of cases do you handle?

A:      Jones Law is a general practice firm specializing in civil litigation.  Our practice encompasses a wide range of fields such as business and/or contractual litigation, probate litigation, personal injury suits (including wrongful death and medical malpractice actions), divorces and custody disputes, and employment-related litigation.

In addition, we undertake representation of clients in criminal actions on a case-by-case basis.  Our firm does not handle real estate closings, bankruptcies,
or Social Security claims.

Q:      What are your typical fees?

A:      Depending on the type of case, our firm offers several different fee structures.  Typically, we handle most cases on either an hourly or flat-fee basis.

Personal injury cases are handled on a contingent-fee basis.  This mean that our fee is taken out only at the end of a case, once we recover on your behalf.

Q:      How do I set up an appointment for a consultation?

A:      You can contact us by telephone at (678) 947-4687 or by e-mail at info@JonesLawLLC.com.  You may also submit a request for a consultation by using the form on our "Contact Us" page.

We pride ourselves on our flexibility and firmly believe that it is our job to serve you.  Generally, appointments can be arranged at mutually convenient times and locations.  In addition, we make every effort to take the needs of our clients into consideration.  Depending on your situation, it may be possible to arrange for an in-home visit.

Q:      What should I bring with me to my first appointment?

A:      Generally, we encourage our clients to err on the side of bringing "too much" rather than "not enough".  At a minimum, you will need to bring any legal documents you may have which are related to your case.  These may include:
  • Insurance policies
  • Summons or subpoenas
  • Police reports
  • Copies of lawsuits (Complaints/Petitions)
  • Contracts

Other items you will need to bring, if possible:

  • Photographs or other material you feel is important
  • Medical records and invoices (for personal injury claims)
  • List of names and current contact information for everyone that may have important information about your case

You should also prepare a list of any questions you want to ask your attorney.  And, for verification purposes, you may also be asked to provide a current driver's license or other form of photo identification.

Please feel free to review our "Forms for You" page for a better understanding about the type of information we typically ask clients to provide.
